So much devastation happening in our world today.  We're currently dealing with the fires here in California.  The closest fire to us is about 80 miles away. Not exceptionally far away, but far enough for us to feel safe and grateful.  We clearly see and smell the smoke in the air.  A subtle reminder to keep those in the midst of it all in our thoughts and prayers.  All of this on the heels of the Puerto Rico hurricane.  We visited Puerto Rico over the summer.  Our first visit to the island and before the recent devastation.  The images of the island today look nothing like what I remember.    We were along the coast during our visit.  I can't even imagine the condition the buildings and landscape in that area are in now.  Such a beautiful island.  Such a terrible natural disaster.
