Peek Boo I Tee You

Shauni is so much more engaging as she gets older and older. Her interactive play is improving and she initiates games more often. Her current game to play is "Peak-a-boo", which she calls "Peek Boo I tee (see) you"! She also hides and says "Where Shauni go?" This part is especially hilarious, because she simply covers her eyes with her hands and because she can't see you, she assumes you can't see her! In the field of psychology, this is called Object Permanence. Children around Shauni's developmental age seem to assume that if they can't see you, you can't possibly see them! And because she does this over and over and over, I find it to be both evidence that she is developing as expected and down right funny! We played a game of Peek-a-boo behind the curtains this morning!
