Tea with Mr. Monkey

Shauni orchestrated her own tea party the other day. Her best friend, Mr. Monkey was invited. She insisted that I put her pink bow in his hair. I sat in her nearby reading chair and observed the whole interaction. It was pretty fascinating to watch. She evenly distributed her china so that both she and Monkey each had a plate and a cup. She offered Monkey something to drink and shared her cup of drink with him. She later said they were drinking juice. Then she began a conversation with Monkey that only she understood. I recognized a few words, like "thank you" and "all gone", but other than that, she was in her own world and loving it! It was awesome to watch!
