We are freshly back from an awesome family vacation in the Virgin Islands! We took a cruise on the "largest ship in the sea" also known as Royal Carribean's Oasis Of The Seas. Since it was during Shauni's birthday weekend, it is fair to say that it was her birthday present as well!!
The ship carried Dreamworks animation characters. Dreamworks produces kid animation movies such as KungFu Panda, The Bee Movie, Monster and Aliens, Megamind 3D and Puss in Boots (coming out in November), but you all (and Shauni) are probably most familiar with the characters of Shrek and Madagascar! They had shows and parades and photo ops with the characters. Shauni was just in awwww (and scared all at the same time...lol!)
This ship had so much to do....it had a crazy-fun children's program and pool area, a beach boardwalk with a real carousel, an outdoor movie and performance theater and a replica of New York's Central Park! It also had a Coach store.....ooooh, I love Coach!! How crazy is all of that (and that's not even half of it)!! Our room had an awesome balcony that Shauni wanted to sit out on all day. She would cry when she had to come back inside! The view was amazing to wake up to every morning!
The Oasis has a sister ship called the Allure.....We're already booked for 2013 (we don't mess around!!! LOL!!) Why 2013 and not 2012??? DISNEY CRUISE is 2012, as per Shauni after she saw a Disney cruise commercial!!! HAHA!!

Shauni has never been to the beach, so to be able to go to the beach for the first time and have it be in St. Maartin, Virgin Islands is memorable!!
