A Few Nursery Projects

Made some progress on a few nursery creations.

Here's a bit of a change to the armoire from before. This used to be an old Magnavox curio from the 1970's. It had a turn-knob stereo, a record player, an 8-track and speakers. I busted all of that out with my trusty hammer and patched up the holes I created. A few layers of wood filler, fresh coat of paint and some new pink fabric panels that I sewed to replace the blue ones and I've got progress! Still gotta put the other doors back on. Trying for an armoire similar to this but with the fabric behind the doors like this.

Speaking of sewing....

I've started sewing the baby bedding. I've only sewn half of the crib mattress skirt because I ran out of fabric. I plan on getting back to that project soon. In an attempt to re-create something similar to this crib, I've painted one part of the wrought iron crib I bought in white primer so far. Will paint the crib antique white. That's a bit down the line though...got way too much other things to do right now.
