Neither have I! I've recovered the seats of chairs before, but I have never completely recovered a chair. I figured I'd take one side apart at a time, look at how it was constructed and then try to duplicate that on the opposite side. Sounds easy enough right????
I started off good- painted the wooden arms and legs white with no problem (maybe a few paint drips on the legs but who's gonna be way down there lookin"??). Since then though, I've been pulling and tugging, realigning fabric and stapling and unstapling! I've started on the back and one arm so far and haven't picked up the staple gun in about 3 weeks!
By-the-way........what are curtains normally made of??? I found two old curtain panels in a soft pink color that I thought would work with the color scheme. I cut them apart and had the fabric drycleaned. It feels like a linen blend of some sort and says it requires drycleaning. Probably not a good choice for a baby's room (Dry clean only?) What do you guys know about curtains?
