In a few days, Shauni will be 2 months old....time sure does fly!! I just wanted to list some of her traits that I've noticed during these first few month of life. I'm sure there's more, so check back to this post from time to time because I will continue to add things as they come to me.
1. She can hold her head up longer than the few minutes that the doctor and baby books said she should at this age.
2. She is utterly FASCINATED with the ceiling fan and will stare at it all day if you let her!
3. She really likes lights and will stare directly into a light bulb if you let her!
4. She began smiling a lot at about 1 month but now smiles and laughs.
5. Just recently discovered her own hands and will hold them up in front of her face and study them.
6. She sucks her thumb and fingers from time to time but prefers her green hospital pacifier. She holds it in place with her fist for MAXIMUM suction!
7. She likes pink (ok, I like pink, soooo, she likes pink!)
8. She hates her vibrating/bouncy chair.
9. She hates hats.
10. She sleeps better when she is swaddled at night.
12. She's getting big...she's outgrown most of her newborn cloths but can still wear some of them. She is fitting into the 0-3 month clothes pretty good now.
12. She was 10 lbs 2 oz exactly one month ago. We will find out her current weight on her May 5th doctor appointment.
12. She's starting to really want to be held. She cries LOUD-like someone just pinched her and when you pick her up, she looks at you with her teary eyes and starts smiling! Hahaha...jokes on me!
13. At her May 5th check-up, she weighed in at 12 lbs and 6 oz and is in the 90th percentile!
